“I dont want to do different movies”- Vijay

Actor Ilayathalapathi Vijay is the commercial King of the South. But, when people raised allegations that he is not doing any thing out of the box. Vijay’s reply was plain and simple.

 ”I don’t want to come out of the commercial route. And I will not do different films. Commercial format suits me well. So why should I?”

He also admitted that he likes to watch different unconventional movies. But he does’nt like to act so. He said that the commercial stereotype suits him, and his fans too wish for the same.

The 37 year old actor is happy after his diwali superhit “Velayudham”. Velayudham was an unexpected winner. Vijay mentioned that he wanted to do movies like this for so long, but then he was a budding actor, so he patiently waited. and when Director raja approached Vijay with the Idea of Velayudham, he readily accepted. The shooting of his next venture ‘Nanban’ is almost going to end. While questioned about nanban, Vijay answered

 ”Again it is a remake but one could feel Shankar’s unique stamp from the beginning till end. The director has given a new colour to 3 Idiots and I loved being part of the movie. Nanban will be a Pongal treat.”
