Porali music

Sasikumar and Samuthrakani, the duo plans to hit the screen again with yet another blockbuster- Porali. Starting from Subramaniapuram to Eesan, they are in a winning spree. And now Porali, starts it with the audio tracks. Sundar.C.Babu is the music director. the Songs have come out well, but reminds us the essence of ‘Nadodigal’, which came out from the same trio.

The Album has 6 tracks including a theme song.

1. Vithiyae Pottri

Sung by Sasikumar and Samuthirakkani

lyrics: Yugabharathi

This song is more like a ranting a poem. It starts with the verses “Vithiyae Pottri, Parama Pottrii”. I should say that the voices of Samuthrakani and Sasikumar goes on sync with the song. The dominance of String instruments adds a special feel to the song..
2. Yaar Ivan

Sung by Shankar Mahadeven

Lyrics: Na. Muthukumar

This is yet another hero praising song, and the rhythm evidently reminds us ‘Sambo Siva Sambo’ from nadodigal. Same beats, Same Singer and Same intonations. Nevertheless, this song stays in your mind.

3. Vedi Pottu

Sung by Vel Murugan, Thanjai Selvi

Lyrics: Kabilan

This is one really nice song which brings the tamil festival mood. I can imagine how the fans are going to dance for the beats in the theatre. Vel murugan and Thanjai Selvi, have really rocked. The Music director has tried something new in the orchestra and it sounds good.
4. Yaar Ivan (2) or (Female version)

Sung by Chinmayee

Lyrics: Na. Muthukumar

The female version of the second track. Chinmayee blows our mind as usual with her scintillating voice. An extended bridge in the song indicates, that there will be a lot of story goes through the song.
5. Engirindhu

Sung by Chinmayee

Lyrics: Na. Muthukumar

The best track in the Album, Chinmayee has given a brilliant effort in this song. Some places in the song, when she goes to higher pitches, It mesmerizes us. and take us to a whole new world. Sundar.C.Babu s composition wins him another feather to his hat.

6. Poraali Theme (Vegamaai Adhivegamaai)

A good try by the Music Director. An exemplary composition. The theme Music is an example that Sundar C Babu is a genius. the music is mystic and raises our anticipation to see the visuals. The change in the tempo after the bridge, make us imagine a powerful cinematography for the visuals.

Review:

It is neither an album with the best songs packed inside nor a low standard composition. the tracks by Chinmayee are very nice, whereas few songs are nothing special. But for sure, Some tracks will rule the music channels for a short span of time after the movie release.
